Maria Hrisoheraki – Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor
I was born in Darwin, Australia and took my first steps in the path of yoga in 1986. For many years I explored some of the most famous systems in yoga - Sivananda, Yoga Works (a combination of Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga) and Prana Flow Yoga with Shiva Rea. In 2002 I was fortunate enough to come across Iyengar yoga and since then I have been a dedicated practitioner and teacher. I have participated in many seminars with certified Iyengar yoga teachers: Penny Chaplin, Pam Buttler, Eyal Shifroni, Carrie Owerko, Ephrat Michelson and Sheila Haswell to name just a few. I began to teach in 2005 in gyms and studios while in 2010 I opened my own studio. That same year I did a GroovyKids teacher training course with Greville Henwood.
Also from 2003 up to 2011 I was the foundress and owner of yogaonline.gr, the first online yoga magazine in Greece.
Today, I am a certified Iyengar yoga teacher (Level 3) and I publish articles about yoga in the Greek version of “Huffington Post” and another Free Press health magazine called “Natura NRG”.
