Friday morning Mysore Practice

A class for all levels!
You will be taught Ashtanga Yoga in the most traditional way, as it was done in India and continues to this day. “Mysore” is called the city of India, from where we learned the method from the creator of Ashtanga yoga, Sri k. Pattabhi Jois. It is an ideal class for the development of your practice, where you reach the deepest and higher level of your practice.

The Magic Carpet Ride Inhalation and exhalation are two sides of the inner body. In this class learn how breathe is the key to unlocking the mysteries of inner strength and accessing a calm, meditative mind. Only by mastering the breathe will you gain true access to the power centers deep within your pelvis, often referred to as the “bandhas”. These energy locks are both physical muscles that you can access and spiritual doors that you can walk through. Often the missing key to a flowing practice, the integration of breathe and bandha lead the way to the discovery of limitless power and lasting peace both in your yoga practice and in your life.

Arm Balance Marathon
Get your shoulders ready and rev up your core engine! In this class you will practice solid foundation and technique in both arm balances and headstand. Once the basics are established have fun connecting the poses and work on more powerful transitions. Modifications will be given for all levels, making it easier if you're a beginner and harder if you're more advanced.

Full Primary Series Surrender to the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method with careful emphasis on the traditional vinyasa method and have fun along the journey. Experience the integrity and purity of the Ashtanga Yoga practice and be prepared to sweat.
